A la Lueur du Lampadaire !

D-RAT : Book list... and some comments in English !

Version en français

Good evening. A few days ago, my sister got me some leisure activities for the week-end of April, the 21th. I had complain that I was stuck in the hole of the world without work... But staying connected ! That's the trick !

So a RAT is coming right theses days ! It's entiltled Dewey' Read-A-Thon, somewhere far in the deep USA (should I know more than this ?), entirely in english.

I have some English books in my boxes.

My dear sister orders me to prepare my reading wish-liste - in the case if I run away, far away...

It's not wrong for me to read a lot but to turn on it torments... Aï-euh !

There's my list of books :

  • A  passage to India by Forster ;
  • Huckleberry  Finn ;
  • The  Patriotic Murders by Agatha Christie ;
  • Shakespeare  with Twelfth Night, or What You Will ;
  • shorts stories, I think I have two books;
  • Sleepy Hollow and Rip van Winkle by Washington Irving ;
  • and some others that I should look for them - but something says to me that my sister will be in charge of them...

It will be great, won't it ? No bothering ! May I add some french titles, Sista ? (Nothing ventured nothing gained ;) No ? Really ? Oh, come on... Just for hard time, before the finish... (Don't give up my friend, there's lots of hours before the Doom-day ! I mean, the D-RAT.)

It's going to be cool ! The best method for the better experiment : 24 hours non-stop and 100% English...

Huh, do I forget something ? Huh, writing ? Of course, because I must report each tip-toe of the friendly competition. Huh ? Pardon, in English ? Do I write in English ? Nooo, this challenge is only reading ! Don't the others challengers understand my reports ? Because they can only talk English words ? Aï-euh, it's okay, I'm stopping to monkey you, Sista. (1) Of course, we must able to understand each person... Kyaaaah, I must to write in Engliiiiiish 'cause they are all Englishmeeeeen.......

I am better in reading English than writting.

Hum, hum. I will do it. If I don't cut it !

Huh ? What ? Ok, I stop it ! (2) I start right now right here... (3) This article... Ok,ok... Working, working... But tomorrow ? No... Ok, right here right now...

(.......)

It' done ! I'm proud of my work !

Huh ? Thanks who ? Me, of course ! Aï-euh ! Sorry... Thanks, my lovely Sista !

(1) What a pity, those B-serial tricks ! I like them...

(2) My monkey asking.

(3) English writting.

(P.S.) The "Aï-euh" are now my habits and a certain form of fraternal cencorship and mean "Ouch" in my very French way of saying it.

(A) I notice that I don't know these little words, like "bon bah", what draw themselves in my text in order to express feelings.

(B) I also notice that this blog article isn't a tranlastion of whose wrote in french ; ok, only the beginning...

(C) And yes, I sometime use the google translation software. Only sometimes : the most words are mine. No time at midnight to draw out my big dictionnary - surely lost in some school, old-days stuff.

Edit of today, 12th : I pretty sure that I load my sister a lot of novels of my youth and great mangas for the same day...
